A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to county authority to cancel subdivisions in the |
|
|
extraterritorial jurisdiction of a municipality. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 232.008(a), Local Government Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(a) This section applies only to real property located |
|
|
outside: |
|
|
(1) a municipality; [municipalities] and |
|
|
(2) the area in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of a |
|
|
municipality not subject to an agreement described by: |
|
|
(A) Section 242.001(d)(2); or |
|
|
(B) Section 242.001(d)(3) that apportions the |
|
|
area to a county [municipalities, as determined under Chapter 42]. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
