A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to publishing on an Internet website notices concerning |
|
|
certain National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 26, Water Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Section 26.0273 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 26.0273. NOTICE CONCERNING NPDES PERMITS. (a) |
|
|
Notwithstanding Section 5.552, 5.553, 26.028, 26.040, or any other |
|
|
law that requires notice to be published in a newspaper, notice |
|
|
concerning an NPDES permit, permit amendment, or permit renewal |
|
|
issued under this chapter is sufficient if the notice is published |
|
|
on the commission's Internet website. |
|
|
(b) The commission shall establish a publicly accessible |
|
|
portal on the commission's Internet website that allows a person to |
|
|
publish a notice described by this section. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
