A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to memoranda of understanding between the Texas Water |
|
Development Board and other state agencies. |
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
SECTION 1. Section 6.104, Water Code, is amended to read as |
|
follows: |
|
Sec. 6.104. MEMORANDA OF UNDERSTANDING. The board may |
|
enter into a memorandum of understanding with any other state |
|
agency [and shall adopt by rule any memorandum of understanding |
|
between the board and any other state agency]. |
|
SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act to Section |
|
6.104, Water Code, applies only to a memorandum of understanding |
|
that is entered into on or after the effective date of this Act. A |
|
memorandum of understanding that is entered into before that date |
|
is governed by the law in effect on the date the memorandum of |
|
understanding was entered into, and the former law is continued in |
|
effect for that purpose. |
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
