R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The passing of esteemed attorney Allen Linn
  Williamson of Runaway Bay on May 14, 2022, at the age of 47, has
  brought a great loss to his family and many friends; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Dan and Elizabeth Williamson, Allen
  Williamson was born in Hobbs, New Mexico, on October 30, 1974; he
  completed his bachelor's degree in speech communication at Texas
  A&M University and graduated from Texas A&M School of Law; early in
  his career, he was the first assistant district attorney for the
  271st Judicial District Court covering Wise and Jack Counties; he
  went on to become a founding partner of the Boyd Powers & Williamson
  law firm; board certified in criminal law, he focused on complex
  civil litigation in recent years, and he was recognized on the
  Thomson Reuters list of Texas Super Lawyers for nearly a decade; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Williamson was a member of the American Board of
  Trial Advocates and served as president-elect of the Fort Worth
  Chapter; in addition, he benefited the State Bar of Texas as a
  member of the Pattern Jury Charges and Professionalism Committees;
  deeply committed to his community, he shared his expertise as a
  member of civic organizations, including the Wise Health Foundation
  board; he served as Wise County Republican Chair from 2008 to 2018;
  a man of strong faith, he was a valued member of Grace Fellowship;
  and
         WHEREAS, Devoted to his family, Mr. Williamson shared a
  fulfilling marriage with his high school sweetheart, Mendee
  Williamson, and he was the proud father of three children, Jessica,
  Amber, and Aaron; big-hearted, enthusiastic, and outgoing, he
  extended friendship to all he encountered, winning the admiration
  and affection of innumerable people; and
         WHEREAS, Allen Williamson led a caring and purposeful life,
  and although he is greatly missed by those he has left behind, they
  will forever treasure their memories of his warmth, kindness, and
  wonderful sense of humor; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Allen Linn Williamson
  and extend deepest sympathy to all those who mourn his passing; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Allen
  Williamson.
