R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |
|
|
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Adalberto and Olga |
|
|
Salazar of Mission celebrated this joyous milestone in their |
|
|
marriage on November 18, 2022; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Salazar were joined in matrimony in |
|
|
1972 at the Mission Community Center; over the years, they have been |
|
|
blessed with a treasured family that includes their three children |
|
|
and seven grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born and raised in Sullivan City, Mr. Salazar |
|
|
graduated from La Joya High School, and Mrs. Salazar attended |
|
|
Mission High School in her beloved hometown; the couple have lived |
|
|
in Mission since their wedding day; now retired, they take pleasure |
|
|
in playing bingo with other members of the community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Salazar have enjoyed five decades of |
|
|
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Adalberto and Olga Salazar on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Salazar as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
