R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by |
|
|
only a select few, and the attainment of this significant honor by |
|
|
Mario Alexis Sevilla of Fate heralds a future bright with |
|
|
opportunity and promise; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Sevilla has mastered a number of important |
|
|
skills in his quest to become an Eagle Scout; he has earned merit |
|
|
badges requiring expertise in such diverse areas as first aid, |
|
|
personal fitness, and environmental science, and he has gained |
|
|
experience in leadership and teamwork while undertaking an Eagle |
|
|
Scout project that has contributed to the betterment of his |
|
|
community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A founding member of Scouts BSA Troop No. 163 in |
|
|
Fate, Mr. Sevilla is the first Eagle Scout from the group; he has |
|
|
ably served his peers in a designated position of responsibility, |
|
|
and in so doing, he has exemplified the many positive traits for |
|
|
which Scouts are renowned; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Sevilla is currently a senior at Royse City High |
|
|
School; after graduation, he plans on enlisting in the U.S. Army; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for |
|
|
attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Mario Sevilla has demonstrated |
|
|
an unwavering commitment to Scouts BSA and its ideals, and the |
|
|
knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the way will indeed |
|
|
serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Eagle Scout Mario Alexis Sevilla on |
|
|
achieving this prestigious rank and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Sevilla as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
