R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, HCA Healthcare Advocacy Day at the State Capitol is |
|
taking place on February 22, 2023, providing a fitting opportunity |
|
to recognize The Woman's Hospital of Texas for its accomplishments; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Established in 1976 in Houston, The Woman's Hospital |
|
of Texas is an affiliate of HCA Healthcare, one of the largest |
|
health care systems in the nation; the hospital offers a wide range |
|
of services in such fields as breast health, imaging, gynecology, |
|
surgery, infertility, obstetrics, neonatal intensive care, and |
|
pediatrics, and more than 800 babies are delivered there each |
|
month; currently, the hospital employs over 650 board-certified |
|
physicians and encompasses more than 400 licensed beds for |
|
patients; and |
|
WHEREAS, Among its many honors, The Woman's Hospital of Texas |
|
has been designated a Level IV neonatal intensive care unit as well |
|
as a Level IV maternal facility, and it has been recognized as a |
|
Texas Ten Step facility by Texas Health and Human Services; in |
|
addition, the hospital features a March of Dimes NICU Family |
|
Support program; and |
|
WHEREAS, For more than four and a half decades, The Woman's |
|
Hospital of Texas has worked to provide patients and their families |
|
with skilled and compassionate care, and its record of service to |
|
the Houston area is indeed deserving of special praise; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby recognize The Woman's Hospital of Texas on the |
|
occasion of HCA Healthcare Advocacy Day at the State Capitol and |
|
extend to all those associated with the hospital sincere best |
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the hospital as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
