R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Isabelle Grace Martin, an extraordinary young Texan
  who demonstrated inspiring courage and character in the face of
  adversity, passed away on July 29, 2022, at the age of 12; and
         WHEREAS, Born on February 7, 2010, in Plano, Izzy Martin was
  blessed with the love and affection of her parents, Christine and
  David Martin, and her three siblings, Faith, Madeleine, and Luke,
  as well as her extended family; and
         WHEREAS, Izzy attended Episcopal School of Dallas, where she
  particularly liked learning about math and science; she was also a
  talented dancer who loved to express herself through art, and she
  enjoyed the camaraderie she found at the Dance Industry Performing
  Arts Center in Plano; and
         WHEREAS, Despite the challenges she faced from a diagnosis
  with osteosarcoma, Izzy dedicated her life to helping others; she
  raised more than $500,000 for cancer research through the
  Children's Cancer Fund and the Osteosarcoma Institute, and she
  further demonstrated her compassionate and selfless nature by
  donating hundreds of care packages to the Austin Street Center and
  participating in the United Way Teens United community service
  program as an inaugural member; in 2021, she was named the People
  Newspapers Readers' Choice Person of the Year in recognition of her
  outstanding accomplishments; throughout her life, Izzy drew great
  strength from her Catholic faith; and
         WHEREAS, Izzy Martin set an inspiring example through the
  kindness, determination, and joyful spirit that she brought to her
  every endeavor, and although her journey on this earth ended far too
  soon, she will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those
  who were fortunate enough to know her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Isabelle Grace
  Martin and extend deepest condolences to the members of her family:
  to her parents, Christine and David Martin; to her siblings, Faith,
  Madeleine, and Luke; to her grandparents, Mary Anne and Paul Fego
  and Jeannie and Bill Martin; to her aunt and uncle, Sara and Randall
  Watson; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Izzy
  Martin.
