R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Members of the East Texas Community Supervision
  Alliance are visiting the State Capitol on March 9, 2023, providing
  a welcome opportunity to pay tribute to this outstanding
  organization; and
         WHEREAS, ETCSA strives to promote criminal justice reform in
  Texas; members of the alliance include community supervision and
  corrections practitioners, criminal justice professionals, service
  providers, policy advocates, and others who are working to improve
  criminal justice practices and procedures; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to its mission to promote criminal
  justice reform, ETCSA has played an instrumental role in advocating
  for equitable income for criminal justice professionals in Texas,
  in endorsing and implementing best practices, and in expanding
  treatment availability in all regions of the state; the
  organization also serves as a vital resource for education,
  training, and professional development for community corrections
  practitioners; and
         WHEREAS, All those involved with ETCSA are dedicated to
  creating safer and more prosperous communities, and its members may
  take great pride in all that they have accomplished as they continue
  to serve their fellow citizens; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize March 9, 2023, as East Texas Community
  Supervision Alliance Day at the State Capitol and extend a warm
  welcome to the visiting delegation; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
