R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Paschal High School cheerleading team wrote its
  name into the history books by winning the 6A Division II title at
  the 2023 University Interscholastic League Spirit State
  Championships; and
         WHEREAS, Competing from January 12 through 14 at the Fort
  Worth Convention Center, the Paschal cheerleaders opened with an
  outstanding performance in the qualifying round, notching the top
  score in Crowd Leading and the second-highest score in Fight Song;
  the Panthers went on to post a final tally of 92.63 and emerged
  triumphant for the first time at the state meet; they further
  distinguished themselves by becoming the inaugural squad from the
  Fort Worth Independent School District to claim a UIL state
  cheerleading championship; and
         WHEREAS, Excelling with a true team effort, the Panthers
  received valuable contributions from each member of the roster on
  their journey to the state crown; these talented student-athletes
  were ably led by head coach Alex Saenz and by assistant coaches Pat
  Anderson and Tori Reimann; and
         WHEREAS, Winning a state championship represents the
  culmination of countless hours of hard work and an unwavering
  commitment to excellence, and the Paschal High cheerleaders will
  treasure the memory of this accomplishment for the rest of their
  lives; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Paschal High School
  cheerleading team on winning the 6A Division II title at the 2023
  UIL Spirit State Championships and extend to all those associated
  with the squad sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the Panthers as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
