R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mario Flores of Benbrook Middle-High School |
|
|
received well-deserved recognition when he was presented with the |
|
|
2022-2023 Academic Chair for Teaching Excellence in Health and |
|
|
Physical Education; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Established by the Fort Worth Independent School |
|
|
District, this prestigious accolade celebrates 16 elementary and |
|
|
secondary school teachers who demonstrate a commitment to |
|
|
excellence in one of 15 categories of instruction; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Flores was honored as the Blue Zones Project |
|
|
health and physical education chair for secondary schools; a |
|
|
graduate of Texas Christian University with nearly three decades of |
|
|
teaching experience, he strives to build relationships with his |
|
|
students and to create a positive classroom atmosphere where |
|
|
everyone is encouraged to take risks, express themselves, share |
|
|
ideas, and actively engage in their learning; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mario Flores exemplifies the passion, |
|
|
determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |
|
|
best teachers, and he has set a standard of excellence to which all |
|
|
in his profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Mario Flores on his selection as |
|
|
the 2022-2023 Academic Chair for Teaching Excellence in Health and |
|
|
Physical Education by the Fort Worth Independent School District |
|
|
and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success with his |
|
|
important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Flores as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
