R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends suffered an immeasurable loss
  with the tragic death of Preston Henry Ralston of Dalhart on
  February 13, 2023, at the age of 15; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Amarillo on July 23, 2007, Preston Ralston
  was the son of Sarah and Wes Ralston; he grew up in Dalhart with the
  companionship of a brother, Parker, and a sister, Payton; and
         WHEREAS, At the time of his passing, Mr. Ralston was a
  student at Dalhart High School; he was also an active member of
  St. James Anglican Church and served as an acolyte and lay reader;
  more recently, he began attending Hillside Youth; and
         WHEREAS, An avid animal lover, Mr. Ralston was a member of
  Dallam and Hartley Counties 4-H, where he was a senior delegate for
  the Leaders and Feeders club and a member of the shotgun team; he
  enjoyed showing and judging livestock and served on the Bi-County
  Livestock Show Junior Board; moreover, he was the district sentinel
  for the Dalhart FFA and participated in several career and
  leadership development events; a devoted friend, he was well liked
  by all who knew him and could brighten any room; and
         WHEREAS, Though his journey on this earth ended far too soon,
  Preston Ralston leaves behind numerous friends and loved ones whose
  lives are far richer for having known him, and he will always hold a
  treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Preston Henry Ralston
  and extend profound condolences to the members of his family: to his
  parents, Sarah and Wes Ralston; to his brother, Parker Ralston; to
  his sister, Payton Ralston; to his grandparents, Anita and Seth
  Ralston and Bud Snead; to his aunts and uncles, Danna and MJ Shult,
  Rebecca and Cody Reep, Rachel and Craig Hunter, and Jeff Lackie; to
  his cousins, Macy, Jared, Cooper, Allison, Riley, Randen, Bentley,
  Jagger, and Jack; and to all others who mourn his passing; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Preston
  Ralston.
