R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Joanne Justice of Arlington was honored for her more |
|
than 50-year career in real estate by being named the 2022 REALTOR |
|
of the Year by Texas REALTORS; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of Hartford, Connecticut, Mrs. Justice |
|
studied English and Psychology at the University of Connecticut; |
|
she earned her real estate license when she was only 21 years old, |
|
and the job proved to be a natural fit for her strong work ethic and |
|
her energetic, outgoing personality; she went on to obtain her real |
|
estate broker's license in 1973; and |
|
WHEREAS, In 1975, Mrs. Justice became the Manager of Eloise |
|
Bauer Real Estate, which was acquired by Paula Stringer Realtors, |
|
which became Merrill Lynch Realty in 1980; she worked as a Vice |
|
President and Branch Manager for Merrill Lynch before continuing |
|
her career at Century 21 Sutherland in 1984 and Coldwell Banker in |
|
1992; today, Mrs. Justice is the Broker of Record at NRT Texas |
|
LLC/Coldwell Banker Realty, where she is responsible for supporting |
|
more than 2,500 branch managers and agents; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since 1972, Mrs. Justice has benefited her industry |
|
through her work on the Arlington Board of REALTORS, and after |
|
serving on its Board of Directors and on various committees, she was |
|
elected President in 1983; she served on the Texas Real Estate |
|
Commission as Secretary and Vice Chair from 2009 to 2016, and she |
|
has also held the roles of Regional Vice President of Texas REALTORS |
|
and Director for the National Association of REALTORS; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Justice has been recognized with a number of |
|
prestigious accolades from the Arlington Board of REALTORS, |
|
including the President's Meritorious Service Award and the REALTOR |
|
of the Year Award, and she was honored with the Texas REALTORS |
|
Distinguished Service Award and the National Association of |
|
REALTORS Emeritus Award; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Mrs. Justice enjoys the love |
|
and support of her husband, Jim Justice, as well as their son, John, |
|
daughter-in-law, Cydney, and three grandchildren, Hudson, Zachary, |
|
and Darcy, and of her sister, Jeanne Harney; and |
|
WHEREAS, The dedication, professionalism, and commitment to |
|
excellence that Joanne Justice has demonstrated throughout her |
|
career have earned her the respect and admiration of her peers, and |
|
she may indeed take pride in this well-deserved recognition of her |
|
achievements; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Joanne Justice on her selection as |
|
the 2022 REALTOR of the Year by Texas REALTORS and extend to her |
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mrs. Justice as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
