R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Candice Anaya has been honored with the EXCEL Award |
|
|
for the Somerset Independent School District from the KENS 5 |
|
|
television station; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, KENS 5 presents its EXCEL Awards to |
|
|
recognize outstanding educators from local school districts; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Candice Anaya is the lead Reading, Language Arts, |
|
|
and Social Studies teacher for third grade at Barrera Veterans |
|
|
Elementary School; she takes great satisfaction in inspiring her |
|
|
pupils to succeed, and she uses her own experience with dyslexia to |
|
|
encourage her students to persevere when they face challenges; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the course of her career, Candice Anaya has |
|
|
made a positive difference in the lives of countless young Texans, |
|
|
and her dedication, expertise, and innovative spirit have earned |
|
|
her the lasting respect and admiration of her students and |
|
|
colleagues alike; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Candice Anaya on receiving the KENS |
|
|
5 EXCEL Award for the Somerset Independent School District and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in her |
|
|
important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Anaya as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
