R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Colony Economic Development Corporation |
|
|
received a 2022 Economic Excellence Recognition Award from the |
|
|
Texas Economic Development Council Legislative Conference on |
|
|
February 24, 2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Established in 1961, the TEDC annually honors the |
|
|
top economic development organizations in the state; award |
|
|
recipients qualify based on their certifications, professional |
|
|
activities, and effectiveness, as well as on the training completed |
|
|
by the organization's leadership and staff; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dedicated to providing competitive financial |
|
|
incentives to companies that invest in its community, The Colony |
|
|
EDC is one of only 55 organizations to receive an Economic |
|
|
Excellence Recognition Award for 2022; it has further distinguished |
|
|
itself by earning this prestigious accolade for the past 15 |
|
|
consecutive years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Colony EDC is making vital contributions to the |
|
|
prosperity and economic vitality of The Colony, and it is indeed |
|
|
deserving of this most recent honor; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate The Colony Economic Development |
|
|
Corporation on receiving a 2022 Economic Excellence Recognition |
|
|
Award from the Texas Economic Development Council and extend to all |
|
|
those associated with the organization sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for The Colony EDC as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
