R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Guadalupe Ledezma of Houston is marking a
  significant event in her life on April 22, 2023, when she belatedly
  celebrates her quinceañera with family and friends; and
         WHEREAS, Derived from the Spanish words "quince" and "años,"
  meaning "15" and "years," the quinceañera is a traditional
  celebration in Latin cultures that denotes a girl's passage into
  adulthood at the age of 15; with roots tracing back to both
  Mesoamerica and the Iberian Peninsula, this custom continues to
  remain a meaningful and memorable milestone in a young woman's
  life; and
         WHEREAS, Born on April 22, 2005, Guadalupe Ledezma is the
  beloved daughter of Maria Cristina Perez and Agustin Ledezma and
  the sister of Esmeralda Ledezma and Melissa Gisela Ledezma; she is a
  student at both Victory Early College High School and Lone Star
  College, and she has further distinguished herself as a member of
  the National Honor Society, the Science National Honor Society, and
  the Senior Club; the celebration of her quinceañera was delayed due
  to the pandemic; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Ledezma is a source of tremendous pride to her
  family, and it is a pleasure to join her loved ones in honoring her
  at this festive time; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Guadalupe Ledezma on the joyous
  occasion of her quinceañera and extend to her sincere best wishes
  for a bright and rewarding future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Ledezma as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
