R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 75th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |
|
|
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Marvin and Mae McDaniel |
|
|
are celebrating this joyous milestone in their marriage on May 7, |
|
|
2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Marvin Oliver McDaniel and the former Mae Frances |
|
|
Smith were joined in matrimony at a ceremony officiated by J. W. |
|
|
Watson in Dallas, Georgia, on that special day in 1948, and over the |
|
|
course of their marriage, they have found in each other a devoted |
|
|
life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This esteemed couple has been blessed with a fine |
|
|
family that includes their two children, Carol Bishop and Stephen |
|
|
McDaniel, as well as their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, |
|
|
with whom they treasure spending many special occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Marvin and Mae McDaniel have enjoyed seven and a |
|
|
half decades of abiding love and affection for each other, and they |
|
|
are among an exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a |
|
|
lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Marvin and Mae McDaniel on their |
|
|
75th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. McDaniel as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
