R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A life made rich through meaningful service drew to
  a close with the passing of Jeri Shirley Kolpack on March 20, 2023,
  at the age of 85; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of John and Minnie Page, the former
  Jeri Page was born in Galveston on August 18, 1937; she was raised
  in the Galveston and Houston areas, and she attended business
  school in Austin; she adopted a son, Gregory, during her first
  marriage to Dude Stelfox; after Mr. Stelfox's passing, she wed
  Jerry Butler, with whom she co-owned the Embers club in Corpus
  Christi; and
         WHEREAS, Following the death of her second husband, she
  married Arnold Kolpack in January 1978; a partner with Mr. Kolpack
  in life as well as in business, Mrs. Kolpack managed commercial
  real estate for her husband's company, Industrial Salvage; she was
  a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and
  great-grandmother, as well as a dear friend to many; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Kolpack sought opportunities to help others by
  joining the Rotary Club of Corpus Christi and volunteering with the
  local food bank; passionate about the arts, she enjoyed attending
  the symphony with her granddaughter, Maegan, and she even performed
  with the Corpus Christi Ballet's production of The Nutcracker in
  2004 and 2005; she brightened the days of everyone around her with
  her vivacious personality, and she was also admired for her strong
  will, her love of learning, and her devotion to her community; and
         WHEREAS, Although she is deeply missed, the passage of time
  will never diminish the joy and love that Jeri Kolpack brought into
  the lives of all who knew her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jeri Shirley
  Kolpack and extend heartfelt condolences to the members of her
  family: to her sister, Molly Page Neugebauer; to her grandchildren,
  Maegan Stelfox and Gage Johnston; to her great-granddaughter,
  Peyton Stelfox; to her niece, Lynette, and nephew, Michael; and to
  her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jeri
  Kolpack.
