R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Taylor Mersmann of Rock Hill High School in the
  Prosper Independent School District has received a 2022 Pathfinder
  Award from the Texas Association of Journalism Educators; and
         WHEREAS, Each year, TAJE presents Pathfinder Awards to
  educators with seven or fewer years of teaching experience who have
  distinguished themselves as rising stars in their profession;
  Ms. Mersmann was honored for her outstanding leadership and
  dedication to public service; and
         WHEREAS, After joining the faculty of Prosper ISD,
  Ms. Mersmann worked at Rogers Middle School for six years and Hays
  Middle School for a year; she currently teaches journalism at Rock
  Hill High School, where she has also led the media team; she holds a
  bachelor's degree in education from Texas State University and a
  master's degree in technology education from Texas A&M University;
  and
         WHEREAS, Taylor Mersmann has greatly enriched the lives of
  many young Texans through her passion for teaching and her
  extraordinary expertise in journalism, and she is truly deserving
  of this prestigious honor; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Taylor Mersmann on receiving the
  Pathfinder Award from the Texas Association of Journalism Educators
  and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Mersmann as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
