R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Elijah Scheideman, a fifth-grade student at Clara |
|
|
Love Elementary School in Justin, has been named the Communities In |
|
|
Schools of North Texas 2023 Elementary Student of the Year; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Communities In Schools is a nationwide organization |
|
|
committed to ensuring that all students, regardless of race, |
|
|
gender, ability, residence, or socioeconomic background, are given |
|
|
the resources they need to realize their full potential; the |
|
|
organization provides schools with trained local coordinators who |
|
|
offer individualized support to help students succeed academically |
|
|
and to keep them on a path toward graduation; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Elijah Scheideman has been in the Communities In |
|
|
Schools program at Clara Love Elementary since he was in the second |
|
|
grade, and with the support of his CIS site coordinator, Alexa |
|
|
Terry, he has made considerable progress; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Communities In Schools program is helping |
|
|
countless students like Elijah Scheideman build confidence, |
|
|
improve school performance, and make positive life choices, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to join in recognizing Eli for his hard work and |
|
|
achievements; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Elijah Scheideman on his selection |
|
|
as the Communities In Schools of North Texas 2023 Elementary |
|
|
Student of the Year and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Eli as an expression of high regard by the Texas House |
|
|
of Representatives. |
