R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Mary Nelle Cummins has greatly benefited the |
|
residents of Collin County as the founder of Community Health |
|
Clinic; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Cummins established Community Health Clinic in |
|
2004 as a nonprofit organization offering quality health care to |
|
underserved families; over the years, the clinic has gained the |
|
support of medical partners, volunteers, community members, and |
|
churches; since its opening, it has expanded its services and hours |
|
of operation, and today it provides care to approximately 750 |
|
uninsured patients in the northwest Dallas area; and |
|
WHEREAS, CHC offers a wide range of services, including |
|
pediatric care, women's wellness exams, prescription assistance, |
|
counseling, and treatment for diabetes, asthma, and other chronic |
|
conditions; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through her compassion, vision, and initiative, |
|
Mary Nelle Cummins has made a lasting and positive difference in the |
|
lives of her fellow citizens, and she may reflect with pride on her |
|
dedicated efforts to make Collin County a better place for all; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor Mary Nelle Cummins as the founder of |
|
Community Health Clinic of Collin County and extend to her sincere |
|
best wishes for continued success with her important work; and, be |
|
it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Cummins as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
