R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Gary Gardner has been selected as the 2023 State |
|
|
Wildlife Conservationist of the Year by the Association of Texas |
|
|
Soil and Water Conservation Districts and the Texas State Soil and |
|
|
Water Conservation Board; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, ATSWCD and TSSWCB recognize individuals |
|
|
for their steadfast commitment to the conservation and management |
|
|
of renewable natural resources; the state honorees in each category |
|
|
are chosen out of entries from across Texas; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Gardner was nominated for the State Wildlife |
|
|
Conservationist of the Year award by the Upper Llanos Soil and Water |
|
|
Conservation District in Junction; he will be presented with the |
|
|
accolade and honored for his achievements at the 83rd Annual |
|
|
Meeting of Texas State Soil and Water Conservation District |
|
|
Directors in Fort Worth later this year; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Gary Gardner has distinguished himself through his |
|
|
valuable contributions to wildlife conservation in the Lone Star |
|
|
State, and he is truly deserving of special recognition for his |
|
|
efforts; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Gary Gardner on being selected as |
|
|
the 2023 State Wildlife Conservationist of the Year by the |
|
|
Association of Texas Soil and Water Conservation Districts and the |
|
|
Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Gardner as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
