R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Evangelina Macias of Clint on March 4, 2022, at the age
  of 88; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Seferino and Francisca Rodrighez,
  the former Vangie Rodrighez was born on February 1, 1934, and grew
  up with six siblings, Chole, Lucy, Emma, Pavi, Ruben, and Locha; she
  married the love of her life, Frank Macias, and they were blessed
  with five children, Irma, Frank, Irene, Eddie, and Cathy; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Macias devoted herself to her family; she
  created a home full of love, and she was a wonderful cook; sustained
  by a strong faith, she was a very active member of San Lorenzo
  Catholic Church; she was always ready to help those in need;
  dedicated to her community and to public education, she volunteered
  extensively for the Clint Independent School District and served on
  the school board; and
         WHEREAS, Through the years, Mrs. Macias knew the joy of
  welcoming into her treasured family 11 grandchildren, Lisa, Adrian,
  David, Josh, Ruben, Michael, Richie, Cassie, Jessie, Emily, and
  Matthew; they were her pride and joy, and she was very involved in
  their upbringing; she later became the "bestest" great-grandmother
  to Landon, Isabelle, Adriana, David, Madison, Xavier, Dominic,
  Micah, Ian, Ethan, Barrett, and Jaxon; in addition, she was "Tia
  Vanje" to her numerous nieces and nephews and a dear sister to her
  husband's siblings, Margie, Bennie, Mary, Esequiel, and Tere; she
  had a very special bond with her surviving sister, Locha, and her
  brother-in-law, Ernest Vigil; and
         WHEREAS, Although Vangie Macias is deeply missed, those who
  held her dear will forever remember the warmth and kindness she
  brought into their lives, and her commitment to her loved ones and
  her community will remain a source of inspiration; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Evangelina Macias and
  extend sincere condolences to her family and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Vangie
  Macias.
