R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Dylan Winzer, a senior at East Chambers High School, |
|
|
has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Ottawa |
|
|
University in Kansas; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This accomplished young athlete was a three-year |
|
|
letterman for the Bucs and helped the team record an 85-15 record |
|
|
and capture three district championships; over the course of his |
|
|
high school career, he tallied 1,270 points and 640 rebounds and was |
|
|
selected to the 2021-2022 All-District first team in addition to |
|
|
garnering an Academic All-State honorable mention accolade for the |
|
|
2022-2023 season; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Lloyd and Rachel Winzer, Dylan Winzer ran |
|
|
on the East Chambers cross country team and was an Academic |
|
|
All-State honoree in that sport as well; in addition to playing on |
|
|
the Bucs' football and baseball teams, he excelled as a member of |
|
|
the track squad, qualifying for the regional meet three times; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Demonstrating exceptional talent, dedication, and |
|
|
perseverance, Dylan Winzer is a source of great pride to his school |
|
|
and community, and he is poised for further success as he looks |
|
|
ahead to his collegiate athletic career; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Dylan Winzer on signing a letter of |
|
|
intent to play basketball at Ottawa University and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Winzer as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
