R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life drew to a close with the
  passing of Tammie Jolene Helton of Laketon on September 25, 2021, at
  the age of 46; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Connie Jolene Miller Sasser and
  Lindy Lucian Sasser Sr., the former Tammie Sasser was born on July
  4, 1975, in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, and she grew up with the
  companionship of four siblings, Kathryn, Brenda, Renea, and Lindy;
  from an early age, she helped on the Miller family farm, and she
  worked at a local diner during her teens and early 20s; she
  graduated from Reydon High School in 1993 and later earned a
  bachelor's degree in education from Southwestern Oklahoma State
  University; and
         WHEREAS, On November 1, 1996, she married Albert Wade Helton,
  and the couple shared a fulfilling union that spanned nearly two and
  a half decades; Ms. Helton took great pride in her sons, Michael
  Lane Hall and Loagon Helton, and she had the pleasure of seeing her
  family grow to include a grandson, Michael Rider Hall; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Helton worked as an educator in Miami, Texas,
  for three years, and she went on to teach for seven years at Pampa
  Middle School, where she earned a Teacher of the Year award; in
  2011, she concluded her career in education and established The
  Trendy Trailer, a traveling women's clothing boutique; a skilled
  entrepreneur, she built a loyal customer base in North Texas and
  Western Oklahoma; in her leisure time, she enjoyed cooking and
  baking for her loved ones; and
         WHEREAS, Tammie Helton possessed a generosity of spirit that
  expressed itself in myriad ways, and she enriched the lives of
  countless people with her warmth and kindness; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Tammie Jolene
  Helton and extend heartfelt sympathy to all who mourn her passing;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Tammie
  Helton.
