R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Emily M. Doan has ably served her fellow Texans as an
  aide in the office of State Representative Jacey Jetton during the
  88th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Doan has provided vital
  assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, such as
  conducting legislative research and communicating with
  constituents; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the
  field of public service, she has learned more about the legislative
  process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Doan is currently on the pre-law track at The
  University of Texas at Austin, where she is pursuing a bachelor's
  degree in government with a minor in sociology and has earned
  placement on the dean's honor list; active in her campus community,
  she is involved with Innovations for Peace and Development, Phi
  Delta Phi, the Texas Business Law Association, and the Vietnamese
  Student Association, and she also finds time to volunteer with
  Change 1; and
         WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
  duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is
  indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Emily M. Doan for her service as a
  legislative aide in the office of State Representative Jacey Jetton
  and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all
  her endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Doan as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
