R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |
|
passing of Zulema Medina Martinez on March 20, 2023, at the age of |
|
70; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Alberto Medina Sr. and Refugia D. |
|
Medina, the former Zulema Medina was born on March 27, 1952, and she |
|
grew up with the companionship of six siblings, Jesus, Gilbert, |
|
Hilda, Hilma, Alberto, and David; later in life, she enjoyed a long |
|
and rewarding career as a certified nursing assistant; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Ms. Martinez benefited from |
|
the love and support of her husband, Amado; she took great pride in |
|
her children, Albert, Benny, and Sofie, and with the passing years, |
|
she had the pleasure of welcoming into her family 10 grandchildren |
|
and 5 great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Zulema Martinez led a life of caring devotion to her |
|
loved ones, and although she is deeply missed, her spirit will |
|
forever live in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Zulema Medina |
|
Martinez and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her |
|
family: to her husband, Amado Granado; to her father, Alberto |
|
Medina; to her children, Albert Garcia, Benny Martinez, and Sofie |
|
Molina and her husband, Gilbert; to her sisters, Hilda Gallegos and |
|
her husband, Hector, and Hilma Molina and her husband, Manuel; to |
|
her brothers, Alberto Medina Jr. and David Medina and his wife, |
|
Diana; to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and to her |
|
other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Zulema |
|
Martinez. |
