R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Daniel Guzman of Sugar Land has ably served his |
|
|
fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative |
|
|
Charles Cunningham during the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Guzman has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
|
such as conducting legislative research, handling constituent |
|
|
correspondence, and briefing staff on meetings; in addition to |
|
|
gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, he has |
|
|
learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing |
|
|
citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Carlos Guzman and Diana Tovar, Mr. Guzman |
|
|
is currently on the applied politics and pre-law track at |
|
|
St. Edward's University, where he is pursuing a major in political |
|
|
science and a minor in legal studies; active in his campus |
|
|
community, he has participated in student government as a senator, |
|
|
and he has served as vice president of the men's soccer club; he |
|
|
plans to become an attorney and to one day run for political office; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Daniel Guzman has performed his duties as a |
|
|
legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Daniel Guzman for his service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Charles |
|
|
Cunningham and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Guzman as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
