H.R. No. 1457
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Andrew McKiernan has ably served his fellow Texans
  as an intern in the office of State Representative Terri Leo-Wilson
  during the 88th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. McKiernan has provided
  vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
  in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
  service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the
  issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. McKiernan is currently pursuing a double major
  in government and economics at The University of Texas at Austin;
  before moving to Texas, he attended high school in Massachusetts,
  where he served as an intern for a state representative and two
  candidates for public office; he was a member of the Sons of the
  American Legion in San Antonio, and he currently benefits his
  fellow students as secretary of the College Republicans at Texas
  and as president and elected senator of the BRP Residence Hall
  Council; and
         WHEREAS, Andrew McKiernan has performed his duties as a
  legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
  deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Andrew McKiernan for his service as a
  legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri
  Leo-Wilson and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
  success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. McKiernan as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
