R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Jourdan K. Spence has distinguished himself in his
  responsibilities as an aide in the office of State Representative
  Yvonne Davis during the 88th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Spence has provided
  vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
  such as researching bills, corresponding with constituents, and
  monitoring the House Committee on Transportation and legislation
  sponsored by Representative Davis; in addition to gaining valuable
  experience in the field of public service, he has learned more about
  the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone
  Star State; he previously served the Texas Senate as a messenger and
  assistant sergeant-at-arms; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of Texas State University, Mr. Spence
  earned a bachelor's degree in political science with a minor in
  political communication in 2021; he held a variety of leadership
  positions within the campus community, including communications
  director of the College Democrats of America Black Caucus and
  director of freshman leadership and senator at-large with the Texas
  State University student government; moreover, he has benefited
  Hays County in his role as a parliamentarian; and
         WHEREAS, Jourdan Spence has performed his duties as a
  legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
  deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Jourdan K. Spence for his service as a
  legislative aide in the office of State Representative Yvonne Davis
  and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all
  his endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Spence as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
