R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Dr. Kandee Richardson-Guartuche has received a 2023 |
|
Women in Education Award from the Education Service Center Region 2 |
|
at its Outstanding Women in Education event on March 29; and |
|
WHEREAS, Dr. Richardson-Guartuche currently serves as |
|
director for innovative approaches to literacy for the Education |
|
Service Center Region 2, where she has been employed for the past |
|
two years; and |
|
WHEREAS, In 2021, the ESC-2 was the recipient of a Project |
|
LEARN IT grant by the U.S. Department of Education to remodel 54 |
|
qualifying campuses over a three-year period; |
|
Dr. Richardson-Guartuche has been instrumental in the successful |
|
implementation of processes and protocols as a result of the grant |
|
funding that have helped improve library designs and promote |
|
literacy in the center's service area; and |
|
WHEREAS, Dr. Kandee Richardson-Guartuche has set an |
|
outstanding example of leadership and dedication to which others |
|
may aspire, and she is indeed deserving of this noteworthy honor; |
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Kandee Richardson-Guartuche on |
|
her receipt of a 2023 Women in Education Award from the Education |
|
Service Center Region 2 and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
continued success in her important work; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Dr. Richardson-Guartuche as an expression of high |
|
regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
