R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Audrey La has ably served her fellow Texans as a |
|
|
policy analyst in the office of State Representative Gene Wu during |
|
|
the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff through Baylor University's |
|
|
Bob Bullock Scholars Program, Ms. La has provided vital assistance |
|
|
in handling a wide variety of tasks, including monitoring |
|
|
committees and helping to write memos and talking points for bills; |
|
|
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
|
service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In 2019, Ms. La graduated magna cum laude from the |
|
|
Ursuline Academy of Dallas, and at present, she is completing a |
|
|
psychology degree at Baylor through her studies in the Baylor |
|
|
Interdisciplinary Core Honors Program; actively involved in her |
|
|
campus community, she has served as president of Baylor's IGNITE |
|
|
National chapter, as a peer leader for the Department of |
|
|
Multicultural Affairs, and as a photographer for the student |
|
|
newspaper; following her graduation in May 2023, she plans to |
|
|
pursue a law degree; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Audrey La has performed her duties as a policy |
|
|
analyst with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of |
|
|
special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Audrey La for her service as a policy |
|
|
analyst in the office of State Representative Gene Wu and extend to |
|
|
her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. La as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
