R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Shadaria Foster of Kennedy-Curry Academy of Modern
  Arts has been named the 2022-2023 Dallas Independent School
  District Secondary Principal of the Year; and
         WHEREAS, Over the course of her exemplary tenure at
  Kennedy-Curry, Ms. Foster has worked tirelessly to achieve the
  school's goal of becoming the prototype middle school for
  transformation in Dallas ISD; under her able leadership,
  Kennedy-Curry boasts a welcoming learning environment that allows
  its students to thrive both academically and socially; and
         WHEREAS, An alumna of Dallas ISD, Ms. Foster earned a
  bachelor's degree in kinesiology and psychology and a master's
  degree in special education from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and
  she later pursued a second master's degree in educational
  administration from Prairie View A&M University; she began her
  career in education at O. W. Holmes Middle School and subsequently
  taught at Billy Earl Dade Middle; she went on to serve as assistant
  principal at Balch Springs Middle School, where she led the English
  language arts and reading department and pioneered the opening of
  the Young Women's STEAM Academy; she later moved to Skyline High
  School before joining the Achieving in the Middle team, which works
  to improve academic achievement and culture across 24 middle
  schools in Dallas ISD; and
         WHEREAS, The commitment to excellence that Shadaria Foster
  brings to her endeavors at Kennedy-Curry Academy of Modern Arts has
  inspired faculty, staff, and students alike, and she is helping
  many young Texans acquire the skills they need to build fulfilling
  and productive lives; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Shadaria Foster on being named the
  2022-2023 Dallas Independent School District Secondary Principal
  of the Year and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
  success with her important work; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Foster as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
