R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Saad Nadeem celebrated a significant milestone in |
|
his life in May 2023, when he graduated from the University of |
|
Houston; and |
|
WHEREAS, Demonstrating impressive commitment to his studies, |
|
Mr. Nadeem graduated with a triple major in health, human nutrition |
|
and foods, and exercise science and a triple minor in biology, |
|
business administration, and management and leadership; |
|
furthermore, he maintained a 4.0 grade point average while managing |
|
his challenging course load, and he was one of eight students from |
|
the College of Education recognized as "banner bearers" at the |
|
commencement ceremony for their high GPAs; and |
|
WHEREAS, Among his many other accolades, Mr. Nadeem has been |
|
honored with the university's Dean's Award, Legacy Award, and |
|
Global Citizens Credential; he is also a recipient of the |
|
President's Volunteer Service Award gold medallion; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Nadeem was born in Pakistan, and he immigrated |
|
to the United States with his family at the age of 5; he grew up in |
|
Clear Lake and earned two associate's degrees at San Jacinto |
|
College while in high school; a first-generation college graduate, |
|
he has been accepted to a Texas medical school and plans to become a |
|
doctor; and |
|
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this |
|
outstanding young man, and it is a pleasure to join his family and |
|
friends in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with |
|
promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Saad Nadeem on his graduation from |
|
the University of Houston and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Nadeem as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
