R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Isabella B. Alonso-Cantu has been named |
|
valedictorian of the Class of 2023 at Roy Miller High School in |
|
Corpus Christi, and she indeed merits special recognition for |
|
receiving this significant honor; and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; in securing her place as the |
|
top-ranking student in her class, Ms. Alonso-Cantu demonstrated a |
|
thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her |
|
attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement |
|
of a notable high school career; and |
|
WHEREAS, In addition to the pride inherent in being |
|
recognized for her hard work, Ms. Alonso-Cantu has gained the |
|
opportunity to address her fellow seniors at commencement and to |
|
reflect on their shared history as well as their hopes and |
|
ambitions; and |
|
WHEREAS, During her years at Roy Miller High School, Isabella |
|
B. Alonso-Cantu has earned the respect and admiration of both her |
|
teachers and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and |
|
commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and |
|
promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Isabella B. Alonso-Cantu on |
|
graduating as valedictorian of the Roy Miller High School Class of |
|
2023 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as |
|
she begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Alonso-Cantu as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
