R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Taressa Reid of San Marcos has ably served her |
|
fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative |
|
Jarvis Johnson during the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Reid has provided vital |
|
assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
including analyzing legislation, meeting with stakeholders, and |
|
drafting memos; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the |
|
field of public service, she has learned more about the legislative |
|
process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Cleopatra and Robert Liedl, Ms. Reid |
|
is a senior at Texas State University, where she is pursuing a |
|
bachelor's degree in social work and has been named to the dean's |
|
list; she plans to return to school to study dance and to eventually |
|
open a movement therapy studio; and |
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Taressa Reid for her service as a |
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Jarvis |
|
Johnson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Reid as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
