R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Cadance Holland of Gruver High School achieved great |
|
|
distinction by winning the bronze medal in the girls' 2A pole vault |
|
|
event at the 2023 University Interscholastic League Track & Field |
|
|
State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in |
|
|
Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 12, Ms. Holland |
|
|
turned in a notable performance, clearing a height of 10 feet, |
|
|
6 inches, to finish in third place; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track and field athletes, Cadance Holland has ably |
|
|
represented her school and community, and she will cherish her |
|
|
memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Cadance Holland on her bronze medal |
|
|
finish in the girls' 2A pole vault at the 2023 UIL Track & Field |
|
|
State Meet and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Holland as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
