R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mia Gray of Sunray High School achieved great |
|
|
distinction by winning the bronze medal in the girls' 2A shot put |
|
|
event at the 2023 University Interscholastic League Track & Field |
|
|
State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in |
|
|
Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 12, Ms. Gray turned |
|
|
in a notable performance, recording a distance of 38 feet, 10.25 |
|
|
inches, on her fourth throw to claim third place; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track and field athletes, Mia Gray has ably represented |
|
|
her school and community, and she will cherish her memories of this |
|
|
outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Mia Gray on winning the bronze |
|
|
medal in the girls' 2A shot put at the 2023 UIL Track & Field State |
|
|
Meet and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Gray as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
