R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Julian Barton of Follett High School achieved great |
|
|
distinction by winning the silver medal in the boys' 1A 3,200-meter |
|
|
run at the 2023 University Interscholastic League Track & Field |
|
|
State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in |
|
|
Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 13, Mr. Barton |
|
|
turned in a notable performance in the event, claiming a |
|
|
second-place finish with a time of 10 minutes, 11.63 seconds; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track and field athletes, Julian Barton has ably |
|
|
represented his school and community, and he will cherish his |
|
|
memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Julian Barton on his silver-medal |
|
|
performance in the boys' 1A 3,200-meter run at the 2023 UIL Track & |
|
|
Field State Meet and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Barton as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
