R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |
|
passing of Paula Morales of Robstown on November 27, 2022, at the |
|
age of 96; and |
|
WHEREAS, Paula Morales was born in Robstown on June 7, 1926, |
|
to Ventura and Margarita Gutierrez Ortiz; she grew up with several |
|
brothers and sisters and lived her entire life in Robstown; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Mrs. Morales enjoyed the love |
|
and support of her husband, the late Roman Morales Sr., and she was |
|
the proud mother of 10 children, Roman, Petra, Esperanza, Juan, |
|
Roger, Arnold, Melissa, Mary Lou, Angie, and Elijio; through the |
|
years, she became the cherished matriarch of a family that grew to |
|
include 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 33 |
|
great-great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Morales was a devoted homemaker; throughout |
|
her life, she drew great strength from her Catholic faith; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Paula Morales will be greatly missed, she |
|
has left her loved ones with a wealth of memories that they will |
|
forever cherish; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Paula Morales and |
|
extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
children, Petra Perez, Esperanza Morin, Juan Rojas and his wife, |
|
Lee, Roger Rojas, Arnold Rojas, Melissa Ibanez and her husband, |
|
Mike, Mary Lou Zamora and her husband, Ernest, and Angie Perez and |
|
her husband, Richard; to her brother, Tino Ortiz; to her |
|
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and |
|
great-great-grandchildren; and to her many other relatives and |
|
friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Paula |
|
Morales. |
