R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their |
|
|
memories of Imelda Villarreal Jimenez of Robstown, who passed away |
|
|
on January 20, 2023, at the age of 69; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The former Imelda Villarreal was born in Corpus |
|
|
Christi on May 25, 1953, to Joaquin Villarreal Jr. and Maria |
|
|
Magdalena Villarreal; she grew up with the companionship of six |
|
|
siblings, Sister Maria Amada, Jose Angel, Luzelida, Joaquin, Jesus, |
|
|
and Marta Irene; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Embarking on a rewarding career in education, |
|
|
Ms. Jimenez served for more than two decades as a teacher assistant |
|
|
with the Robstown Independent School District; moreover, she was a |
|
|
devoted Catholic, and she faithfully attended St. Anthony Church; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Ms. Jimenez was blessed with |
|
|
the love and support of her family; she took great pride in her two |
|
|
children, Vicente and Selina, and she also treasured time spent |
|
|
with her three grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although Imelda Jimenez will be deeply missed, those |
|
|
who held her dear will forever remember the warmth and kindness she |
|
|
brought into their lives; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Imelda Villarreal |
|
|
Jimenez and extend heartfelt condolences to the members of her |
|
|
family: to her son, Vicente Jimenez III; to her daughter, Selina |
|
|
Jimenez; to her sister, Marta Irene Villarreal-Foley; to her |
|
|
grandchildren, Joshua and Christian Benavides and Emmanuel |
|
|
Jimenez; to her nieces and nephews; and to her other relatives and |
|
|
friends; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Imelda |
|
|
Jimenez. |
