R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their
  memories of Imelda Villarreal Jimenez of Robstown, who passed away
  on January 20, 2023, at the age of 69; and
         WHEREAS, The former Imelda Villarreal was born in Corpus
  Christi on May 25, 1953, to Joaquin Villarreal Jr. and Maria
  Magdalena Villarreal; she grew up with the companionship of six
  siblings, Sister Maria Amada, Jose Angel, Luzelida, Joaquin, Jesus,
  and Marta Irene; and
         WHEREAS, Embarking on a rewarding career in education,
  Ms. Jimenez served for more than two decades as a teacher assistant
  with the Robstown Independent School District; moreover, she was a
  devoted Catholic, and she faithfully attended St. Anthony Church;
  and
         WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Ms. Jimenez was blessed with
  the love and support of her family; she took great pride in her two
  children, Vicente and Selina, and she also treasured time spent
  with her three grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Although Imelda Jimenez will be deeply missed, those
  who held her dear will forever remember the warmth and kindness she
  brought into their lives; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Imelda Villarreal
  Jimenez and extend heartfelt condolences to the members of her
  family: to her son, Vicente Jimenez III; to her daughter, Selina
  Jimenez; to her sister, Marta Irene Villarreal-Foley; to her
  grandchildren, Joshua and Christian Benavides and Emmanuel
  Jimenez; to her nieces and nephews; and to her other relatives and
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Imelda
  Jimenez.
