R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |
|
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Don and Lyn Brown are |
|
celebrating this joyous milestone in their marriage on August 11, |
|
2023; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Brown met in grammar school and were |
|
joined in matrimony in 1973 at First Christian Church in Lexington; |
|
over the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that |
|
includes their children, Stacy and Stephen, their son-in-law, Mark |
|
Mueller, and their three grandchildren, Hudson, Julia, and Beth; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of Texas A&M University, Mr. Brown |
|
enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a chemist with the State of |
|
Texas; Mrs. Brown earned a degree from The University of Texas at |
|
Austin and worked for many years for the Texas Agricultural |
|
Extension Service; retirement has afforded the couple the |
|
opportunity to travel with family and friends; Mrs. Brown also |
|
likes to garden, and cattle ranching is Mr. Brown's passion; and |
|
WHEREAS, Don and Lyn Brown have enjoyed a half century of |
|
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Don and Lyn Brown on their 50th |
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Brown as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
