R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Michelle Fratto is retiring from James Martin High
  School in the Arlington Independent School District in 2023,
  drawing to a close an extraordinary career in education that has
  spanned more than three decades; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Fratto began her career as an educator at Boles
  Junior High School in Arlington; after spending five years there,
  she joined the faculty at Martin High School, where she has taught
  for the past 27 years; and
         WHEREAS, In the course of her duties as a public speaking
  teacher, Mrs. Fratto has excelled at helping students build their
  self-confidence, and she has served as a sounding board and
  cheerleader for thousands of young people through the years; in one
  of her innovative approaches, she has had students present plays
  before other classes to overcome their stage fright, and many
  individuals look back on their time in high school fondly thanks to
  their performances of The Princess Bride, Grease, and Green Eggs
  and Ham, among many other works; and
         WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Mrs. Fratto enjoys the love
  and support of her husband, Barney, who has also distinguished
  himself as a teacher at Martin High and who is a former Teacher of
  the Year at Boles Junior High; moreover, she takes great pride in
  her sons, Alex and Clay; and
         WHEREAS, For 32 years, Michelle Fratto has provided a
  positive and inspiring learning environment for Arlington
  students, and she has earned the lasting admiration and affection
  of all who are privileged to know her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Michelle Fratto on her retirement
  from the Arlington Independent School District and extend to her
  sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Fratto as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
