R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Norman Gonzalez of Eagle Pass retired from the
  United States Border Patrol on February 28, 2023, drawing to a close
  an exemplary career with the agency that spanned 26 years; and
         WHEREAS, A native of Harlingen, Mr. Gonzalez served as a
  member of the U.S. Air Force Security Police from 1991 to 1995; he
  went on to join the U.S. Border Patrol on February 4, 1997, and over
  the course of his tenure, he served as a K9 handler and a member of
  the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force; in addition,
  he was involved in remote monitoring surveillance; he holds
  all-terrain vehicle and drone certifications; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Gonzalez enjoys the love
  and support of his wife, Anilú, and he takes great pride in his
  children, Alek, Milla, Soleil, and Sasha; and
         WHEREAS, Norman Gonzalez's dedication, professionalism, and
  commitment to the mission of the U.S. Border Patrol have greatly
  benefited his fellow citizens and earned him the respect and
  admiration of his colleagues, and he may indeed reflect with pride
  on a career well spent as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of
  his life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Norman Gonzalez on his retirement
  from the United States Border Patrol and extend to him sincere best
  wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Gonzalez as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
