R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Federico Salinas is retiring from the |
|
Eagle Pass Fire Department in 2023, drawing to a close more than two |
|
decades of dedicated service to the community; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Salinas began his career at the Eagle Pass Fire |
|
Department in February 2000, and he was promoted to lieutenant in |
|
2016; the following year, he obtained his peace officer's license |
|
and was appointed deputy fire marshal; over the course of his |
|
tenure, he has been an active member on the swift water, high-angle, |
|
and hazmat task forces, and he has served as a fire inspector, |
|
critical incident stress debriefer, and emergency medical |
|
technician; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Salinas has also taught courses at the Eagle |
|
Pass In-House Fire and EMS Academy, and he has served as an adjunct |
|
instructor for Spanish-language fire courses at Texas A&M |
|
Engineering Extension Service; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through his dedication, hard work, and commitment to |
|
excellence, Federico Salinas has greatly benefited the citizens of |
|
Eagle Pass, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well |
|
spent as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Lieutenant Federico Salinas on his |
|
retirement from the Eagle Pass Fire Department and extend to him |
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Salinas as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
