R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Glen John Claybrook, formerly of Eagle Pass, was
  presented with the 2022 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature
  Film from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences; and
         WHEREAS, Glen Claybrook received the honor for his work as
  character technical director on the film, Encanto; the feature from
  Walt Disney Animation Studios follows a family, the Madrigals, who
  live hidden in the mountains of Colombia; this is Mr. Claybrook's
  second Oscar after previously winning one in 2014 for the film,
  Frozen; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Lydia Claybrook and the late John
  Claybrook, Mr. Claybrook was a member of the Class of 1974 at Eagle
  Pass High School and went on to graduate from The University of
  Texas at Austin; for many years, he served as a director and
  technical director for the animation studio, Curious Pictures; he
  joined Walt Disney in 1996 and was named character technical
  director in 2007; over the course of his career, his credits include
  Big Hero 6, Puddles, Wreck-It Ralph, Tangled, Bolt, Raya and the
  Last Dragon, Chicken Little, and Home on the Range; and
         WHEREAS, Through his dedication to his craft and his
  unwavering commitment to excellence, Glen Claybrook has
  contributed significantly to the success of Encanto and countless
  other beloved films, and this prestigious award represents a
  fitting recognition of his many achievements; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Glen John Claybrook on his receipt
  of the 2022 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film and extend
  to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be created
  for Mr. Claybrook as an expression of high regard by the Texas House
  of Representatives.
