A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the restriction of the use of toll road funds for road |
|
|
projects. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
Section 1: Sec. 284.003, Transportation Code. PROJECT AUTHORIZED; |
|
|
CONSTRUCTION, OPERATION, AND COST is amended by adding subsection |
|
|
(h): |
|
|
(h) Money allocated and collected by a toll road authority |
|
|
is restricted only for usage by that toll road authority on road |
|
|
projects. |
|
|
Section 2: Sec. 284.0031, Transportation Code. OTHER ROAD, STREET, |
|
|
OR HIGHWAY PROJECTS is amended by adding subsection (f): |
|
|
(f) Money allocated and collected by a toll road authority |
|
|
is restricted only for usage by that toll road authority on road |
|
|
projects. |
|
|
Section 3: This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
