CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt by |
|
the family and friends of Captain Charles Dwayne Krampota of the |
|
Alvin Volunteer Fire Department, who passed away on September 23, |
|
2022, at the age of 60; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on April 13, 1962, Charles Krampota was the son |
|
of Alfred and Edna Krampota; he treasured time spent with his |
|
family, which included his parents and his son and daughter-in-law, |
|
Seth and Melissa Krampota; and |
|
WHEREAS, On September 23, 2022, Captain Krampota responded to |
|
a mobile home fire in Alvin; the structure was unoccupied, and he |
|
and his fellow firefighters extinguished the blaze and cleared the |
|
scene; tragically, he died at his home a few hours after the |
|
incident; this dedicated first responder served for more than two |
|
decades with Alvin VFD, earning a reputation for his exceptional |
|
courage and work ethic over the course of his tenure; and |
|
WHEREAS, Additionally, Mr. Krampota was employed by the |
|
Alvin Independent School District for 37 years, and he retired as |
|
mechanical systems manager; among his responsibilities, he oversaw |
|
daily mechanical operations at the district's campuses; and |
|
WHEREAS, Admired for his cheerful demeanor and willingness to |
|
help others, Charles Krampota lived a caring and purposeful life, |
|
and he leaves behind a record of service that his loved ones can |
|
remember with pride; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the 88th Legislature of the State of Texas |
|
hereby pay tribute to the memory of Captain Charles Dwayne Krampota |
|
and extend deepest condolences to all who mourn his passing; and, be |
|
it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of |
|
Charles Krampota. |
