R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A caring and generous life drew to a close with the |
|
passing of Diana Treviño Garcia of Laredo on May 3, 2023, at the age |
|
of 72; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of J. C. "Pepe" Treviño Jr. and Rose |
|
Tarver Treviño, Diana Garcia was born on November 12, 1950, and grew |
|
up with five siblings, Annie, Pepe, Beto, Memo, and Kiko; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Garcia attended the Ursuline Academy and |
|
continued her education at The University of Texas at Austin; she |
|
enjoyed a successful career as a U.S. customs broker and certified |
|
public account and served as chief financial officer for her |
|
family's businesses; and |
|
WHEREAS, A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Garcia shared a |
|
richly rewarding marriage with her husband, Ricardo, and she took |
|
great pride in her daughters, Rosanna, Marissa, and Sara Veronica; |
|
with the passing years, she had the privilege of seeing her family |
|
grow to include her grandchildren, Jackson, Mateo, Joaquin, and |
|
Camila; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Diana Garcia is greatly missed, this |
|
beloved woman has left her loved ones with many cherished memories, |
|
and she will forever hold a special place in their hearts; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature |
|
hereby pay tribute to the life of Diana Treviño Garcia and extend |
|
heartfelt sympathy to the members of her family: to her husband, |
|
Ricardo Garcia; to her daughters, Rosanna Lipscomb, Marissa |
|
Fuentes, and Sara Veronica Garcia; to her grandchildren, Jackson |
|
and Mateo Lipscomb and Joaquin and Camila Fuentes; to her siblings, |
|
J. C. Treviño III, and Annie, Roberto, Guillermo, and Carlos |
|
Treviño; and to her other relatives and many friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this |
|
day, it do so in memory of Diana Garcia. |
