R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Patti Radle is concluding her service to the
  San Antonio Independent School District Board of Trustees in May
  2023; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Radle has represented District 5 on the school
  board since her election in May 2011, and over the course of her
  exemplary 12-year tenure, she has worked tirelessly in behalf of
  the district, which serves approximately 47,000 students across
  more than 90 campuses; she served the board as president from 2015
  to 2021; and
         WHEREAS, A former educator, Mrs. Radle taught elementary
  school in San Antonio ISD for 12 years, during which time she served
  as a third-grade teacher at J. T. Brackenridge Elementary School
  and directed a program promoting conflict resolution at various
  SAISD campuses; she has taught at the middle and high school levels
  in other districts as well; deeply dedicated to her community, she
  has served as the volunteer co-director of the local nonprofit
  Inner City Development since 1972, and from 2003 to 2007, she was
  the District 5 representative on the San Antonio City Council; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Radle holds a degree in theology from Marquette
  University and a degree in English, as well as her teacher and
  bilingual certifications, from Our Lady of the Lake University; she
  was recently presented with an honorary doctorate from the Oblate
  School of Theology; and
         WHEREAS, Through her dedication, professionalism, and
  commitment to excellence, Patti Radle has earned the lasting
  respect and appreciation of her fellow citizens, and her
  contributions to public education in San Antonio will continue to
  resonate for years to come; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature
  hereby commend Patti Radle for her years of service to the San
  Antonio Independent School District Board of Trustees and extend to
  her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Radle as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  Senate.
